AEGIS DEFENCE SERVICES is advertising for four French speaking Close Protection Officers and one CP Team Leader to work in the DRC. The purpose of the CP Team is to provide a presence that may help to reduce the risk of damage to the company’s facilities or injury to the company’s personnel in connection with the company’s security program. Personnel are to maintain a presence, to observe and, if appropriate, attempt to cover and evacuate in the event of an incident.
Duties may include:
The Security Operators will perform multiple roles and will provide both static security at the mission’s premises and mobile close protection when required. Essentially all members must be able to perform the roles of a Security Operator and all will have the relevant military and security experience and qualifications to provide the required services. All drivers will be fully qualified to drive B6 armoured vehicles and documentary proof will be available as required. Security Operators will be highly versatile and able to perform a wide variety of tasks, including 24 hour communications cover, watch-keeping, situational awareness, first stage medical response and armed defence.
§ Minimum 5 years’ experience in the critical infrastructure sector
§ Previous military or law enforcement experience of not less than 5 years
§ Experience as a PSD Operator/2i/c in the private sector of no less than 1 year
§ Experience in contract management, implementation, quality control and reporting
§ SOP implementation and SP’s (Security Plans) execution
§ Human resources experience, budget and operational management
§ Safety specialist
§ Risk evaluation, define adequate equipment
§ Very good relational skills
§ Collaborative management style
§ Certificate of clear criminal record;
§ Valid driving license
§ French language proficiency is a must
• Must have previous experience in hostile environment, Iraq or Afghanistan preferred
· In date frontline SIA license (for UK expats and countries that offer international equivalent) .
· In date FPOS-I or MIRA qualification (or HLTAID005 Provide First Aid In Remote Situations or PHTLS-TFR for the Australian Embassy Kabul contract).
· Must have attended and passed an accredited CP course.
