PAE is advertising for a Peace Support Operations Specialty Trainer to work in the Republic of Congo. PSO Skills Trainers provide Peace Keeping Operations soldier skills instruction to African military units receiving ACOTA Programme training.
PSO Skills Trainers shall have the following education, experience, and military background unless otherwise approved in advance by the Contracting Officer Representative:
•Skills, experience, and knowledge to accomplish the goals and tasks of the ACOTA Program.
•Minimum of five (5) years of U.S. military operations and training experience in a Combat Arms Specialty with a strong background in OCONUS program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units preferred.
•Subject matter experts in at least one Combat Arms U.S. Military Occupational Specialty, Branch, or Functional Area.
•Experience with either U.S. State Department, United Nations (UN) Chapter Seven Operations, or Africa Union (AU) highly desired.
•Experience with Africa peace support operations is highly desired and should include current experience with the ACOTA Program.
•Former Special Forces A Team or Combat Arms Non-Commissioned Officer or Warrant Officer preferred.
•Familiar with standard military training concepts, practices, and procedures.
•Preferably an individual with recent U.S. Military combat and/or PKO experience at E-5 thru 0-3 level.
•Experience operating in areas with limited life cycle support and in hardship conditions preferred.
Recent OIF/OEF experience desired
